Maryclaire and Aaron were invited to be part of the International Primary Care Educational Alliance. The IPCEA is a group of osteopathic family physicians who are working with the Sichuan Department of Health to help develop the specialty of Family Medicine in the province and country. During their time in China they delivered lectures, participated in bedside teaching rounds, and learned much in the process themselves. This is a brief record of their travels!

Welcome!

Many of you are familiar with our other work in Haiti.

A Doctor You Know Is Going To Haiti is about the people of Haiti, their story, and their needs. It is a heartbreaking but hopeful story. It is not only a way to share our work there with you but also a means of recruiting volunteers and fund-raising for current and future efforts.

What we present here is a vastly different story- a cheerful story. It's a record of international collaboration, medical education, and the future of health care in China and in the United States. It is about the celebration of new relationships.

It is about our new friends from the United States- Royce Keilers, William Burke, Randy Martin, and Greg Smith- outstanding osteopathic family physicians from the rich tradition of full-scope osteopathic care of the family.

It's also about our many, many new friends from Chengdu and Nanchong, Sichuan Province, China- and how our world became much smaller in the span of a week.

And really- it's a place to share our pictures!

Please enjoy, and email us with any questions,
